Norwegian Shipbuilders is a central sales and marketing organization for 40 competing shipyards, which are located along the entire Norwegian coast. The task of Norwegian Shipbuilders is to provide domestic and foreign shipowners with the best offer and first-rate service within all types of shipyard assignments. The 38 member yards with a total of more than 4000 employees draw on the skills gained through generations of experience in industry. Norwegian Shipbuilders has extensive competence within all yard assignments ranging		from newbuilding of ships to rebuilding and repairs. The list of references for jobs performed and satisfied clients covers a wide area of the industry.

Norwegian Shipbuilders has a thorough knowledge of all its member yards, and thus has an overall view of which yard has the requisite capability to provide the optimum solution for clients. When enquiries for new contracts are made Norwegian Shipbuilders will		therefore save the clients from undue work by establishing contact with those yards which are known to have the best competence and capacity to perform the work.

The current activities of the Norwegian Shipbuilders Sales and Marketing Organization are founded by the joint resources of the yards.		This includes all assistance in connection with prelimitary projects, information about yards, enquiry for tenders, follow-up, etc.

The 40 member yards cover newbuilding, rebuilding and repairs for all types of vessels up to 40 000 dwt. Norwegian Shipbuilders can, accordingly, offer all types of merchant tonnage, fishing vessels, tonnage for offshore activities and other special tonnage custom-made according to whatever requirement.

A number of special vessels adapted for demanding applications have been delivered to shipowners all over the world. Through its involvement with demanaing customers, Norwegian Shipbuilders has built up outstanding levels of skils in shipbuilding.
